Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking a skilled and reliable IT Technician to provide technical support and maintain our IT systems in Lusaka. The IT Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing equipment, and ensuring optimal performance of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Perform regular maintenance and updates on IT systems.
Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation.
Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Prepare and maintain IT documentation and reports.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
Proficiency in IT support tools and MS Office.

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Teamwork and project management skills.

Experience:

At least 2-3 years of experience in IT support.
