Junior Mobile Developer – Book Now Zambia
About Us
Book Now Zambia Ltd is a subsidiary of Dot Com Zambia, an award-winning Zambian ICT company founded in 2009. We design, build, and operate high-volume transaction systems, including tolling platforms, fuel management solutions, and digital payment technologies. Our products process millions of transactions every month, serving both the public and private sectors.
We are looking for a talented and motivated Junior Mobile Developer to join our team, focusing on developing, maintaining, and enhancing mobile applications for iOS and/or Android. This is an ideal role for a developer with some professional experience who is eager to grow their skills while contributing to impactful, high-usage products.
The Role
You will work under the guidance of senior developers to:

Build and maintain mobile applications for iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks.

Assist in designing and implementing mobile UI/UX based on modern design principles.

Support API integration to connect mobile applications with backend systems.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation for mobile applications.

Participate in code reviews to learn and apply best practices.

Stay updated with mobile development trends, tools, and frameworks.
Technical Skills We Value

Mobile: Native iOS (Swift/Objective-C), Native Android (Java/Kotlin), or cross-platform development (React Native, Flutter).

Frontend: React, Bootstrap, Figma (for design collaboration).

Backend (nice to have): PHP (Laravel), Java (Spring Boot), JavaScript (Node.js), Python (Django).

APIs: REST, GraphQL.

Databases: MySQL, MongoDB.

Version Control: GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
What We Are Looking For

Minimum of 1–2 years’ mobile development experience (including internships or freelance projects).

Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Eagerness to learn and improve technical skills.
Salary
This role offers a salary range of ZMW 8,000 to 13,000, based on experience, technical skills, and demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to projects.
