The Council of Mulungushi University is an equal opportunity employer and is inviting qualified and sufficiently motivated individuals to apply for the following positions at both Main Campus in Kabwe/Kapiri-Mposhi and the Livingstone Campus where the School of Medicine and Health Sciences is domiciled:-

Job purpose of lecturer in all instances:-

Applicants are advised that in all instances, lecturers are expected to teach, assess student performance, conduct research, publish and undertake academic-related responsibilities and to carry out community service. This applies to all lecturer positions hereby advertised.

1. SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES

a) Lecturer of Health Policy and Management (1 position)

Job requirements:-

i. Must have a full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits

ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Public Health degree or related health science discipline from a reputable and accredited University

iii. Must have a Master of Public Health degree (with a specialty in Health Policy and Management) from a reputable and accredited University

iv. Possession of a PhD in the relevant discipline will be an added advantage

v. Must have functional computer literacy

vi. Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at University level will be added advantage

vii. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage

viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)

b) Lecturer of Medical Statistics/Biostatistics (1 position)

Job requirements:-

i. Must have a full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits or better

ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or related health science discipline from a reputable and accredited University

iii. Must have a Master of Science degree in Medical Statistics/Biostatistics from a reputable and accredited University

iv. Must have functional computer literacy

v. Possession of PhD in the relevant discipline will be an added advantage

vi. A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at University level will also be added advantage

vii. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage

viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)

c) Lecturer of Internal Medicine (re-advertised 1 position)

Job requirements:-

i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language

ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a reputable and accredited University

iii. Must have an earned Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine degree from a reputable and accredited University or its recognized equivalence by ZAQA stipulation

iv. Must be computer literate

v. Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage

vi. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage

vii. A PhD in Internal Medicine will equally be an added advantage

viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)

d) Lecturer of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (re-advertised – 1 position)

Job requirements:-

i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language

ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a reputable and accredited University

iii. Must have an earned Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology degree from a reputable and accredited University or its recognized equivalence by ZAQA stipulation

iv. Must be computer literate

v. Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage

vi. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage

vii. A PhD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology will be an added advantage as well

viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)

e) Lecturer of Human Physiology (1 position to be on contract)

Job requirements:-

i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language

ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or related health field such as Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Nursing Sciences from a reputable and accredited University

iii. Must have an earned Master of Science in Human Physiology from a reputable and accredited University

iv. Must be computer literate

v. Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage

vi. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage

vii. A PhD in Physiology will be equally be an added advantage

viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
