Legal Manager
The position exists to advise the business on all legal and regulatory matters affecting the business as well as a broad range of commercial matters. The position plays a key role in the legal team, including advising on tobacco legislation, regulatory and competition law matters as part of the team. The aim is to achieve corporate and commercial objectives in a compliant manner by appropriate monitoring and management of legal risks within the entity.
Position:
As the Legal Manager supporting the entity with legal, compliance and regulatory matters, you will:

Assist the Head of Legal by concentrating on all legal matters, whether complex regulatory issues, corporate governance, restructurings or disputes, litigation and arbitration.

Provide solutions and/or business oriented legal advice across the full range of business activities where legal input (of all types) is required.

Draft, review and negotiate contracts and legal documents.

Develop and provide training programs, precedents, guidance notes and updates for commercial management and other employees.

Conduct legal compliance and verification audits.
Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in law (LLB Hons) and a member of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ).

A minimum of 3 years post admission experience.

Proven experience on advising in commercial contracts and regulatory matters.

Strong communication, decision-making, inter-personal, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
-
Fluent in oral and written English.
