Job Vacancy: Loan Officer

Job Description:

North Star is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Loan Officer to manage our lending operations in Lusaka. The Loan Officer will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, and approving or recommending loan approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate loan applications and assess creditworthiness.
• Conduct interviews with loan applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility.
• Analyze financial statements and credit reports.
• Approve or recommend loan approvals based on risk assessment.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and policies.
• Monitor loan accounts and manage delinquent loans.
• Provide financial advice and support to loan applicants.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of lending practices and regulations.
• Proficiency in loan management software and MS Office.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in loan processing and evaluation.
