Logistics Specialist- Warehousing

As Logistics Specialist-Warehousing you will be responsible for:

Raw Seed Receiving Coordination: Ensure all incoming raw seeds comply with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Processing Plant Seed Supply: Coordinate the supply of raw seeds to the processing plant according to the scheduled plan Ensuring Optimum Plant uptime

Fumigation Management: Oversee the fumigation of raw seed maize, following the fumigation plan.

Storage Space Management: Manage storage space efficiently, advise management on any additional space requirements, and provide cost implications.

Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of raw seed receiving, fumigation dates, and inventory status. Prepare regular reports for management review.

Inventory Management and Control: Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and ensure efficient stock management. Perform regular stock counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records and achieve zero variance.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all warehousing and logistics operations comply with relevant regulatory and safety standards.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team
As a Logistics Specialist-Warehousing, you will work within the supply chain Depertment and coordinate Raw seed Receiving, storage and dispatch to the plant. You’ll ensure that the products meet all Internal, Regional, global and Government requirements. Your role is critical to the success of the Local and Regional Supply chain.
Your Challenge:

On time delivery of Products to the Processing plant as per Packing Schedule

Pest management
-
External and internal stakeholder management to ensure No Supply chain disruptions
Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

This role will report to the Logistics Lead-ESCA and will have Great interactions with the following Stakeholders

Internal: Quality assurance/Control,field agronomist, plant supervisor

External: Fumigation vendors, Transporters

Qualifications
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
-
Diploma or Degree In agriculture, supply chain management, Logistics and transportation or any related Field
-
1-3 years Experience in a Warehousing and Logistics or related role
-
Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
-
Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a positive attitude.
-
Knowledge of Seed maize storage & Pest management practices is an added advantage.
-
Proficiency in Office Software with a strong aptitude in PowerPoint and Excel
-
Proven ability to make timely decisions, solve problems and build consensus.
