Job Description
What you would be expected to do:
Sales management
-
Exceed your sales, collections, and customer service targets: Meet or exceed sales, collection, and service targets established on the 2nd of every month by your sales manager.
Sales management—Drive robust field sales processes:
-
Review collection progress with area business managers and energy officers. Provide adequate training to them on driving better sales and collections in your areas.

This includes customer and area profiling, ensuring regular and timely collection follow-ups, resolving customer issues to ensure they make payments, and ultimately repossessing the systems as a last recourse in case the customer defaults.
Retail operations management

Drive robust retail operations processes: Help with last-mile delivery, stock management, and asset recovery processes.
Regional Management

Control Marketing & Other Spending: Provide adequate marketing help with equipment necessary to all your areas.

Ensure we get maximum return on investment for all the costs we incur in areas of marketing, supply chain, and store maintenance.

Daily management: Help Area Business Managers to create and give daily operational plans within the region so that the customer base is expanding and collections are meeting targets
Team management

Training of Area Business Managers and Energy Officers: Provide training to the Area Business Managers, Energy Officers, and Installers on several aspects of the business, such as general product knowledge, sales, and collections.

Field visits: Have a weekly touchpoint with every Area Business Manager—either through in-person meetings, making a sale to the customer in your area, or having a call.

Resolve all possible issues faced by the territory manager and report them to your manager every week.

Conduct joint fieldwork with managers and energy officers to provide sales and collection training on a weekly basis and drive EO engagement.

Review meetings with EBD and clean cook managers: Be present at table meetings with Area Business Managers to ensure you collect feedback from EOs and provide any further training.

Recognize outstanding performers from time to time and ensure the motivation of energy officers is maintained at an all-time high.
You might be a strong candidate if you:
-
Degree in any business-related course
-
At least 5 years of field sales experience in the same area/region.
-
Preferably having worked in clean cooking, microfinance, banking, or telecom field sales roles.

Experience with selling clean cooking products
-
Passionate about working with consumers and resolving their issues.
-
Process-oriented personal and work style; is able to work without supervision within the area.
-
Have passion for the social mission to provide energy to consumers and employment to rural communities. Should be a person with values.

Good communication and people person skills to be able to build a large EO team.
