Job description:

Purpose
Execute maintenance planning functions according to established standard procedures to achieve optimal equipment availability and operation efficiency within the assigned section
Key Responsibilities

Planning and Scheduling
•    Maintenance master data strategy management, ensuring all equipment and PMs are updated and reviewed including strategy frequency, task durations, spares list and Bill of Material (BOM)
•    Weekly planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities for the assigned section
•    Work order cycle management including feedbacks from work packs, defects and work request logging, daily closure of work orders and backlog management
•    Maintenance forecast and forward log management running from two weekly to 12 weekly forecast

Inventory and Budgeting Management
•    Management and expediting of rotables spares
•    Initiation and management of ANSIs process
•    Major component changeout forecast and budgeting
•    Reporting and management of Min-Max

Data and Maintenance Reports Management
•    Daily update of plant performance for management meetings
•    Generation of monthly performance review reports
•    Key custodian of the sectional weekly performance report through Result Action Review (RAR)

Labour Resource Management
•    Management of labour resource through adequate capacity loading
•    Management of external contractors
Qualifications
•    Grade 12 Certificate a must
•    A Diploma in Mechanical or any relevant trade in Engineering field
•    A member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
Experience

•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Planner preferably in mining operations
•    Conversant with CMMS tools such as Pronto, SAP, etc.

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Packages: Word, Excel, Project, etc.

Added advantage with hands-on experience on the fixed plant in maintenance practises on units such as Gearboxes, Conveyors, Mills, Pumps, Compressors, Crushers, etc.
