Kwame Nkrumah University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public to fill the following vacancies:
2. NON-ACADEMIC POSITIONS
2.1 MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT (1)
JOB PURPOSE: To manage all financial functions in order to meet the operational objectives of the University.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Oversees preparation of sectional work plans in order to have an organized workflow of activities and output to track individual performance.

Undertakes the preparation of financial reports in order to meet legal requirements and facilitate decision-making
-
undertakes the processes for financial planning, analysis and forecasting in order to facilitate decision-making and meet financial obligations.

Coordinates the processes for budgeting and budgetary control in order to ensure operational efficiency

Monitors and controls the movement of cash flows in order to ensure the University has sufficient funds to meet its financial obligations.

Ensures that accounting systems are effective in order to assure financial accuracy

Coordinates the preparation of audit information and verifications as requested by auditors in order to ensure that audits are conducted.

Accounts for University property, plant, and equipment in order to keep a record of the assets.

Supervises effectively human resources in the section in order to achieve the objectives.

Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in order to monitor performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
-
Full Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics.

Chartered Accountant – Zambia, Full ACCA. Full CIMA or Masters Degree in Accounts or Finance.

A minimum of six (6) years of practical administrative experience in a Higher Learning Institution or any other reputable organization.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are mandatory

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Possession of a practising license with Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants
