Job Purpose

The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate financial and management information to support strategic decision-making, cost control, and performance improvement across the manufacturing business. The role involves preparing management accounts, analyzing variances, monitoring production costs, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analyses.

Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, overheads, and cost of sales.

Analyse production efficiency, waste, and yield to support operational improvements.

Develop and maintain standard costing systems and ensure accurate product costing.

Assist with annual budgets, financial planning, and rolling forecasts.

Provide detailed financial analysis to support management in decision-making.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and statutory requirements.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved financial efficiency.

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management.

Prepare year end reports and submissions

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.

Experience in management accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills. Proficiency in Palladium Pro added Bonus
