Manager – Assurance Government & Public Sector (G&PS)

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. The skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

• Business development
• Business and practice management
• Quality and risk management
• Staff management and development, including subcontractors
• Ability to handle multi-locational assignments
• Engagement economics – Including NIC, profitability, etc
• Supporting Human Resources department on recruitment
• Training and development within the Business Unit and Line of Service
• iClient relationship management

Work Experience requirements for the role

• Audit and assurance engagements within the NGO and the public sector (including organizational/statutory audits, project audits).
• Internal control assessments, Value for Money audits, compliance audits, Organizational capacity and risk assessments among other Non Assurance related engagements.
• Knowledge of and experience with international multilateral and bilateral donors Sida, European Union, USAID, CDC, UN agencies, World Bank, GIZ etc
• Not-For-Profit organizations
• Engagements working with government and quasi- government agencies as well as regional bodies

Specialist Knowledge required for the role

• Organizational Development (OD)
• Public Financial Management
• US GAGAS/Yellow Book
• Financial rules and regulations for EU/EC, USAID, World Bank, DFID and other international donors
• Government policies and procedures
• IFRS knowledge
• Tax laws affecting financial statements (Income tax, VAT, NAPSA, NHIMA etc)

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognisable University
• Relevant professional qualification (ZICA/ACCA)
• At least 6 years experience including 1 year at Managerial level in G&PS
