RE-ADVERTISEMENT: MANAGER CORPORATE AFFAIRS
The Zambia Environmental Management Agency (“ZEMA”) is a statutory body established under the Environmental Management Act (“EMA”) Number 12 of 2011 whose mandate is to do all such things as are necessary to ensure the sustainable management of natural resources, protection of the environment, and the prevention and control of pollution.
The EMA further mandates the Agency to conduct environmental education and promote public participation in environmental management. In pursuance of its mandate, ZEMA is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian candidates for the position of Manager – Corporate Affairs.
1.1 JOB PURPOSE
1.2 MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
To manage corporate affairs of the Agency through the Communication Strategy, projects and campaigns aimed at enhancing the Agency’s corporate image, public awareness, support for environmental protection and management issues in the country.
a. Main Duties and Accountabilities
The main duties of the Manager Corporate Affairs include;
i. Efficient and effective management of the Corporate Affairs Department.
ii. Ensure the implementation of the communication policies and programs to enhance visibility of the Agency.
iii. Timely dissemination of environmental and corporate information.
iv. Timely management and processing of press releases, media queries.
v. Contribute towards the development of work plans for the Department.
vi. Represent the Department at management meetings.
vii. Ensure the preparation of departmental monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
viii. Preparation and effective execution of departmental work plans and budgets.
ix. Manage the Performance Management System for the Departmental staff.
x. Coordinate the production and dissemination of State of the Environment reports and other publications.
xi. Management of the Agency’s Social media platforms.
xii. Coordinate the Agency’s team building exercises and other corporate events.

Three (3) year contract term, renewable subject to satisfactory performance
