MANAGER EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT, RELATIONS AND FACILITIES
The Manager Employee Engagement, Relations, and Facilities will be responsible for driving the employee engagement strategy, managing employee relations, and overseeing facilities management to ensure a productive, healthy, and safe work environment within Zambia Airports Corporation Limited. This role is key to creating and maintaining a culture of engagement, trust, and effective communication while ensuring the facilities align with operational standards and regulatory requirements at the airport.
Key Performance Areas
Employee Engagement

Design and implement employee engagement strategies that align with the organisation’s mission and values, aimed at enhancing workforce productivity, motivation, and overall job satisfaction.

Develop and execute programmes that promote employee recognition, development, well-being, and inclusion.

Conduct regular employee surveys and feedback sessions to assess engagement levels and identify areas for improvement.

Partner with leadership to create and implement initiatives that support employee retention and growth within the corporation.
Employee Relations:
-
Oversee employee relations by managing employee grievances, concerns, and disputes with a focus on maintaining positive working relationships.

Provide expert advice to managers on employee relations matters, including performance issues, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Ensure compliance with labour laws, aviation regulations, and corporate policies regarding employee relations.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment, promoting open communication and transparency across all levels of the organisation.
Facilities Management:

Oversee the effective management and maintenance of the airport’s facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.

Collaborate with the facilities team to plan and implement improvements to office spaces, operational areas, and employee welfare facilities.

Ensure the Corporation’s facilities comply with safety regulations, environmental sustainability standards, and other relevant local and international codes.

Staff transport facilitation and fleet service management.
Health, Safety, and Well-being:

Ensure the development and implementation of programmes and policies that support employee health, safety, and well-being.

Work with relevant departments to address workplace hazards and implement best practices for safety and employee wellness.

Maintain regular monitoring and reporting on health and safety compliance in all facilities and workspaces.
Leadership & Collaboration:

Provide leadership to the Employee Engagement and Facilities teams, fostering a high- performance culture that aligns with the corporate objectives and values.

Collaborate cross-functionally with airport operations, security, maintenance, and other departments to ensure a seamless integration of employee engagement, facilities management, and operations.

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on all employee engagement, relations, and facilities-related issues.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:

Develop and manage annual budgets for employee engagement programmes, employee relations initiatives, and facilities management.

Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to employee engagement, relations, and facility operations.

Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of employee engagement and facility projects.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Grade 12 with 50′ level credits or better including English and Mathematics;
-
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or a related field;
-
Minimum of 7 years of experience in employee engagement, relations, and facilities management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Extensive knowledge of labour laws, workplace health and safety regulations, and facilities management best practices.
-
Previous experience working in the airport or aviation sector is highly desirable.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.

Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.

Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
