Lead the innovation function within Stanbic Bank through cross-functional teams, leveraging partnerships and platforms to design, build, incubate, bring to scale and commercialise solutions for customer needs that may extend well beyond what is understood as the existing realm of banking, by ensuring the execution and building of innovations and new business models, including running pilots through fast-paced launches, adapting to client feedback, defining minimum viable business to meet client and bank strategy needs. Adopt frameworks that contribute to the operational success of businesses, considering risk exposure and appetite. Champion innovation practices to enable the growth of an innovation mindset, highlighting the value drivers of innovation. Develop and maintain a broad network of entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors to hone market understanding as well as create investment opportunities.

The role requires a tertiary degree in Business Commerce or Information Technology as a minimum requirement.

A post graduate degree in Business Commerce, Finance & Accounting or Information Technology would be beneficial as it will add credibility for this role to influence strategy of Stanbic Bank Zambia to adopt innovation, ecosystems & partnerships.

The role requires a seasoned individual with a thorough understanding of the end-to-end Financial Value Chain with deep or specialised experience in multiple areas of the organisation. Proven track record of understanding end-to-end business processes creating the systemic nature of a large complex organisation. Proven experience in understanding the impact of strategic decisions on revenue and return for shareholders. Ecosystem experience is critical for this role.

The role requires an experienced, holistic professional with considerable business acumen and understanding of the organisation and industry, gained from a track record of 10+ years in advisory roles, who is capable of influencing leaders across the enterprise to drive change and foster transformation. Proven track record of the ability to influence the strategic direction of a company through innovation, ecosystems and partnerships.
