Job Description
Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministries (BOHCM) is a registered NGO dedicated to helping meet the needs of orphans in Zambia. Located in Barlastone Park, Lusaka, the Ministry currently incorporates a Children’s Village, which provides residential care for 100 orphans and vulnerable children, a Primary & Technical Secondary School, a Vocational Training College, a Medical Clinic, and a Community Church.
We are looking for skilled Marketing and Outreach Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in promoting the mission and activities of Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministries. This position is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies, managing outreach initiatives, and fostering community engagement to support the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of marketing expertise, communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies

Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans to raise awareness about the Breath of Heaven Childrens Ministries and its mission.

Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and content for promotional materials.
Social Media Management:

Manage and curate content for social media platforms to enhance the organization’s online presence.

Monitor social media channels for engagement and respond to inquiries or comments.
Content Creation:

Create compelling content, including but not limited to blog posts, newsletters, and press releases, to showcase the organization’s impact and success stories.
Community Outreach:

Identify and build relationships with community partners, local businesses, and other stakeholders to enhance the organization’s outreach efforts.

Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and presentations to increase community involvement.
Brand Management:

Ensure consistent branding across all materials and communications.

Develop and maintain a positive public image for the organization.
Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work closely with internal teams to gather insights and collaborate on marketing initiatives.

Coordinate with volunteers and staff to support outreach events and activities.
Data Analysis and Reporting:

Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns.

Generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts and recommend improvements.
Budget Management:

Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize impact.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

A member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.

Proven experience in marketing, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
