Materials Planner

Job Description: ZamProgress is seeking a Materials Planner to manage the planning and procurement of materials required for production and operations. The Materials Planner will ensure the timely availability of materials while optimizing inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute material plans to support production schedules and business needs.
Forecast material requirements based on production plans and historical data.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders as needed.
Analyze and report on material usage and inventory performance.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of materials planning and inventory management.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work with suppliers and internal teams effectively.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Skills:

Proficiency in materials planning and inventory management software.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials planning or a similar role.
