Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

Support the MEAL & Impact Specialist in building a robust MEAL system that meets the data requirements. This also implies ensuring tools are in place to track data on all project indicators.

Ensure collection of quality data and timely update of the THRIVE 20230 database.

Conduct periodic Data Quality Assurance (DQA) through data verification procedures, including routine data quality audits for the project to ensure the production of high-quality data.

Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions to improve knowledge management activities.

Orient and support Development Facilitators on the reporting requirement for the project and ensures compliance to the donor requirements.

Support the Production of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for the project using the approved reporting templates.

Support the MEAL & Impact specialists to conduct Baseline, Annual Impact Measurement (AIM), and Evaluation processes to measure indicator status, and impact.
Track project participant’s progression, document impact stories and learnt lessons

Work with the Development Facilitators to ensure at all projects participants are monitored for participation and profile their progress attributes.

Work with the Development Facilitators and ensure that field level review meetings are held and lessons documented.

Support the MEAL and Impact specialist to conduct Project level review meetings

Work with Development Facilitators to ensure that project impact stories are identified and documented.

Support in the publication of evidence products, e.g. Impact stories, documentaries etc
-
Support knowledge management for the project by ensuring that all key documents are uploaded on World Vision Information Management system which include Horizon.
Capacity Building
-
Support implementation of a capacity-building strategy for the project team and as well as the PIU leaders to strengthen MEAL systems for the project.

Identify training needs of the PIUs leaders in monitoring and evaluation and other competencies.

Conduct training of staff and PIU leaders for effective implementation and data capture across the all Zambia THRIVE 2030 sites

Provide ongoing MEAL technical assistance to all stakeholders, including relevant government departments and Volunteers. This includes capacity building on the development of data collection tools including the e-THRIVE app.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably related to the science and practice of Agriculture, Agri business, Agri economics, community development, program design, statistics or evaluation.

At least three years’ experience in data management, monitoring and evaluation of Livelihood programs or similar context preferred.

Experience building capacity in DM&E using training methods, facilitation and capacity building strategies.

Sound understanding of and ability to apply quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including comparative random sampling, questionnaire and survey design, and data entry and analysis.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation skills.
-
Strong computer and Internet skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analysis software.
