Job description:

PURPOSE
To safely execute maintenance & installation work according to prescribed standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
•    Support the Artisan in ensuring that all assigned tasks have work orders and are completed timeously.
•    Ensure housekeeping takes place before, during & after tasks are undertaken.
•    To ensure all tools are kept clean and are in acceptable working condition.
•    Participate in hazard identification and close out actions to maintain a safe work environment
•    Assist in formulation of material quantities for various maintenance works
•    Participate in the review and creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Job Risk Assessments
•    Participate in critical requirements in order to achieve set departmental goals
•    Maintain good work culture and ethics within the department and be proactive in execution of tasks whenever Artisan is out of office or unavailable
•    Other duties as directed by the area Supervisor or Team Leader

QUALIFICATIONS
•    Minimum of a Full Grade Twelve School (Grade 12) Certificate

EXPERIENCE
•    A minimum of five years’ work experience.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

•    Perform standby and overtime duties when required
•    Exposure to noise/dust
•    To do Shift Work When required
•    Experience in kitchen cupboard installations.
•    Experience in cutting and polishing of granite kitchen tops.
