Job Description:

Lumina Ventures is hiring a detail-oriented Medical Records Officer to manage and maintain patient medical records in Lusaka. The Medical Records Officer will ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain patient medical records in electronic and paper formats.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Retrieve and release medical records to authorized individuals and organizations.
• Code and index medical records for proper classification and retrieval.
• Assist healthcare providers with accessing and updating patient information.
• Perform audits and quality checks on medical records.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and record-keeping procedures.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Education:

• Diploma or degree in Health Information Management or related field.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records management.
