Job Description:

Lumina Ventures is seeking a compassionate Medical Social Worker to provide psychosocial suppHort to patients and families in Lusaka. The Medical Social Worker will assess patient needs, provide counseling, and connect patients with community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Provide counseling and support to patients facing medical challenges.
• Assist patients in accessing social services and community resources.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans.
• Advocate for patients and families to ensure their needs are met.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
• Valid social work license or certification.
• Strong knowledge of social services and community resources.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.

Skills:

• Empathy and compassion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical social work or related field.
