VACANCY : Merchant Reconciliation Executive

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure all outstanding items arising out of the reconciliation are rectified as per the established procedures and within the agreed service standards. Responsible for day-to-day M-Commerce Reconciliation & Query resolutions
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
- • Ensure cross- border reconciliations are performed on a weekly basis.
- • Investigation and resolution of all outstanding issues on the reconciliations within 2 days.
- • Ensure timely approval of transfers with the bank to ensure settlement within the set timelines.
- • Review the daily merchant settlement reconciliation.
- • Engage with AM Ops and IT where settlement has failed and follow through for resolution.
- • Handle Merchants queries relating to settlement from Customer service and corporate team within agreed timeline.
- • Review reconciliations of Tax wallet and close reconciling items before monthly sign off by Partner.
- • Ensure any unremitted funds are processed within 24 hours.
- • Ensure that the partner wallets are sufficiently funded.
- • Support the business in ensuring that failed partner deposits are manually allocated within 24hrs.
- • Provide data and attend to queries for internal and external audits within scope.
- • Timely submission of month-end inputs and reports as per calendar.
- • Ensure journal entries and KPI data relating to above are correct.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or final stage of ACCA, CIMA, ZICA or equivalent.
- • Good knowledge of all accounting functional areas.
- • Medium level IT literacy.
- • Advanced excel proficiency.
Relevant Experience:
- At least 2years experience and knowledge of working with commissions statements, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and/or receivables, and general ledger accounting.
- • Experience in data analytics is required.
- • System knowledge of payment platforms will be an added advantage.
