Reporting to the Metallurgist – Planning and Accounting, you will be responsible fordaily data entry for metallurgical balance, morning meeting preparation, weekly and monthly consumable counts/reconciliation and to perform other metallurgical functions directed by Metallurgists
Duties and responsibility for this position will include but not limited to the following:

Extraction of data from crusher, grinding, Flotation, Services, Tailings and Filtration log sheets for accurate entry into the daily report to generate accurate Process Plant Department reports on time.

Ensuring all composites and dispatched assays are received on time from the lab and updated in daily report.
-
Liaise with the Shift Metallurgist/operations shift supervisors on all the data not included on the log sheets which will be required in daily morning meetings/corrections.

Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses.

Ensure downtime report extracted from the main daily report and distributed right recipients.
-
Ensure accurate and timely Reagent and Mill balls consumption reports is sent to supply for physical and SAP reconciliation.
-
Crusher capability of utilization reports sent to mining.
-
Physical stock counting of all the reagents being used in the plant and reconcile with supply personnel.
-
Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation with marketing on Dispatched trucks – receiver’s weights and assays should harmonize with senders.
-
Monthly sampling for inventories, preparation, submission and report compilation/interpretation.
-
Preparation of Timesheets in collaboration with administrative assistant.
-
Sampling and sample preparation which will include sampling methods and techniques, sampling points, sample cutters, sample preparation, coning and quartering, sample splitters, filtration, drying, moisture determination and belt cut.

Understanding and updating of the concentrate shed status and distributing on daily basis.
-
Participate in the calibration on weight meter for correct functioning and filing of reports.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
-
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
-
Minimum of a Diploma in Metallurgy or Mineral Processing
-
Minimum experience of not less than 1 year working in Metallurgical Accounting Team/Metallurgists
-
Must understand sampling & sample handling techniques and preparation
-
Good Knowledge of computers and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office package which includes excel, power point and word
-
Must be fast, very accurate and on time in the execution of duties
-
Good communication skills
