JOB ADVERTISEMENT. MINE GEOLOGIST (6)
Euro Africa Kalengwa Mine in Mufumbwe North Western Province seeks a highly motivated and skilled Mine Geologist to join our Team Team. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating drilling, sampling, and geological data collection. Your expertise will be essential in data validation, interpretation, and resource model construction for the ore bodies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health, and Environmental standards.
Lead and mentor subordinates, providing clear guidance and setting a positive example.
• Actively participate in daily ore control activities, including meetings, mark-outs, and dilution control.
• Supervise sample collection, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to the lab.
• Track and assign mined material to correct designations, ensuring the planned feed grade is delivered to the processing plant.
• Communicate geology plans to mine supervisors, maximizing grade and minimizing ore loss/dilution.
• Design and review ore blocks, provide geological support to mining operations and the processing plant.

• Reconcile daily production data, provide input in planning meetings.
• Monitor and inspect active mining faces, report geological changes (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Develop and train Geological Technicians, foster teamwork, and maintain high work standards.
• Perform work inspections, document findings according to procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science in Geology.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in mining geology (Open-cut Mines).
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office), familiarity with Vulcan/Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine preferred.

• Valid Zambian driver’s license.
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
