Job Summary:
Ndola Prime is looking for an experienced Mining Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards. Your expertise in mining processes and technologies will play a vital role in optimizing our operations and achieving our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning:
Develop mining plans and designs that optimize resource extraction while considering economic and environmental factors. Utilize software tools to create accurate models and simulations.

Project Management:
Oversee mining projects from conception through execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations.

Safety Compliance:
Implement and monitor safety practices and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

Resource Management:
Assess and manage the extraction of minerals and resources, analyzing geological data to identify the most efficient extraction methods.

Collaboration:
Work closely with geologists, surveyors, and other engineers to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless operations.

Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on mining operations, resource utilization, and project status for management and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mining technology. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of experience in mining engineering, with a strong background in surface and underground mining operations.

Knowledge of mining software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Surpac).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
