Mining Safety Officer

Job Description: Savanna Synergy is hiring a Mining Safety Officer to ensure the safety and compliance of mining operations. The Mining Safety Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for mining operations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors.
• Investigate and report on safety incidents and accidents.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of mining safety regulations and best practices.
• Experience in conducting safety inspections and training.
• Ability to analyze safety data and develop corrective actions.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Mining Engineering, or a related field.

Skills:

• Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage safety programs and ensure compliance.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mining safety or a related role.
