Job Summary:
Ndola Prime is seeking a qualified Motor Vehicle Inspector to ensure the safety and compliance of our fleet and other vehicles. In this role, you will conduct thorough inspections and assessments to identify mechanical issues and ensure adherence to safety regulations. Your attention to detail and mechanical expertise will be crucial in maintaining our vehicle standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Inspections: Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicles, including brakes, tires, lights, and emissions systems, to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory authorities.
• Compliance Enforcement: Ensure that all vehicles comply with local and national regulations. Conduct follow-up inspections as necessary to verify compliance.
• Safety Recommendations: Provide recommendations for vehicle maintenance and safety improvements based on inspection findings. Collaborate with maintenance staff to address identified issues.
• Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and maintenance staff on inspection procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in vehicle inspection or automotive technology is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in vehicle inspection or automotive repair.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, safety regulations, and inspection protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
