Trade Kings Limited is a leading manufacturer of quality detergent soaps, household products, dairy products and confectionery. Its Head Office is located in the Lusaka’s Light Industrial Area along Nampundwe Road, Off Mumbwa Road. In its quest to maintain quality service delivery, the company seeks to recruit qualified highly motivated and goal-oriented professionals to fill the following positions.

1. Pit Superintendent (1 position)

Job Overview

The Mine Superintendent is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating all operations of the mining and will ensure maximum productivity and extraction rates by optimizing mining methods, procedures & equipment. This person will be responsible for the execution of mining operations to meet safety, quality, volume and cost targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our product end users expectations.
• Plan, schedule and direct long term projects, particularly mine design.
• Works in exploration and assists in the engineering phase of developments and operational activities.
• Assist in developing and managing mine, waste dumps and stockpile designs.
• Ensure maximum productivity and extraction rates by optimizing mining methods, procedures & equipment.
• Verify that the assets are being operated per the mining plan.
• Plans and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in extracting minerals.
• Reviews data, such as maps, and confers with engineering, maintenance, and supervisory personnel to plan and direct mine development.
• Directs team supervisors in operational plans and Leads all dust control efforts to maximize compliance.
• Helps maintain compliance with mining laws and safety regulations, and issues directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
• Directs priority for mobile equipment maintenance based on operational demands and responsible for coordinating all mobile equipment needs, transfer of equipment, ordering of rentals, new or used.
• Support Safety Management programs and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements – Education, Experience and Skills

• Grade 12 certificate, Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering,
• Physically and Mentally Fit, Valid Blasting License and Zambian First Aid Certificate
• At least 7 years open pit mining operations experience, 3 of which should be in the area of Mine Planning
• Technical knowledge in mineral reserve estimation and reconciliation methodologies
• Proficiency in Technical Services and cost management and productivity enhancement
• Should be conversant with heavy equipment earth moving applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A team player and have the ability to work under intense pressure
• Proficiency in the preparation of operating and capital budgets
• Excellent skill in job analysis and report writing;
• Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and any mining operating soft ware.

2. Mechanical Fitter (7 positions)

Job Overview

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery in the manufacturing facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the any repair and Maintenance in the shift
• Up-keeping of the standby equipment.
• Preventive and annual maintenance planning and ensuring all activities are carried out on time.
• Responsible for the 5 S, Top5, Top15 and Top 60 targets.

Minimum Requirements – Education, Experience and Skills

• Mechanical Diploma or  relevant qualification.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in the Food or related Industries
• Through knowledge of maintenance and hands on experience of repair of each equipment’s, pumps, blowers, compressor, Gearbox, Mechanical etc.
• Knowledge of Human safety and Equipment safety

3. Welders (3 positions)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Read, interpret and comply with welding plans and technical specifications
• Weld and adjust the different metal structures
• Ensure the safety of work equipment and materials
• Ensure safety by wearing protective equipment (Gloves, Glasses, Safety Shoes etc.)

Minimum Requirements – Education, Experience and Skills

• Diploma/Certificate Welding or Metal Fabrication.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a busy workshop
• Proficiency in welding techniques and familiarity with various metalworking tools.
• Knowledge of different welding procedures.
• Competence in reading technical drawings.

4. Boiler Operators (2 positions)

Job Overview

Operate and maintain boiler systems, ensuring they function safely and efficiently.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and control boiler operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain operational records.

Minimum Requirements – Education, Experience and Skills

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in boiler operation.
• Knowledge of safety standards.

5. CCTV Operators  (5 positions)

Job Overview

Monitor and operate CCTV equipment including cameras, radios and ancillary equipment making appropriate pro-active and reactive responses.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and track vehicles in real-time using CCTV and other technologies.
• Provide situational awareness of all fleets to Trade Kings group of Directors and other stakeholders.
• Operate vehicle tracking software and equipment.
• Communicate with police and other emergency services to provide vehicle location and movement information if any query.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of vehicle tracking activities.
• Provide regular updates of both fleets in transit and parked out of the Depot

Minimum Requirements – Education, Experience and Skills

• Diploma or Certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and install equipment as needed.

6. Graduate Engineering Trainee  (8 positions)

Job Overview

A Graduate Engineering Trainee is responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of production process during shifts. The position will carry out the instructions and daily production plan given by Managers and, ensuring the production process is followed efficiently and effectively in compliance to Safety and Quality requirements driving Operations excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• To coordinate with all supervisor for production process.
• To monitor and maintain housekeeping standards to ensure clean workplace.
• Allocation of production plan to supervisors and subordinates.
• Ensuring achievement of set daily targets of production.
• To ensure the health & safety norms are adhered to during the shift.
• To ensure product and process Quality are adhered to during the shift.
• Reporting plant or machinery breakdown to the managers immediately.
• Participate and lead programs like DMS, GEMBA, AM, CI, Kaizen,5S,Lean, RCA , CAPA etc.

Minimum Requirements – Education, Experience and Skills

• Graduate in any Engineering Stream
• Fresher to 1 year experience in Manufacturing
• Should have very good communication and analytical Skills.
• Basis knowledge of Manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of safety standards
