Our Client, based in North Western Province is looking to fill 2 positions. The details are as follows:
1. SPECIALIST: REWARDS & HR MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
Specialist: Rewards & HR Management Information Manager is responsible for managing HR systems, manpower planning, compensation analysis, and policy governance to support organizational efficiency and strategic decision-making. The role involves data management, salary benchmarking, performance management, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
HR SYSTEMS & DATA MANAGEMENT
-
Maintain and update Management Information Systems (MIS), including Workday cleanups and data accuracy.

Generate and analyze HR reports and dashboards, including but not limited to:
-
Paid Headcount report
-
Employee Movement report
-
HR Monthly report
-
Statutory Reports (Labor Returns, Recruitment Returns, MLSS, SI7 etc.)
-
ESG
-
Ensure accurate time tracking and site coordination with HRSS and HRBPs.
-
Data analysis and computation request handling from various stakeholders (ie COEs, HRBPs, Finance, HODs, departments, etc)
MANPOWER PLANNING
-
Coordinate manpower planning efforts, including data collection and storage.
-
Job evaluations and coordination of system job codes clean-up.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Manage salary reviews and collective bargaining agreements (CBA).

Peer review salary, gift card/voucher computations.
-
Salary scale analysis and revision computations.
-
Calculator/template formulation (leave commutation, offers, CTC, SRO, loans, etc.)

Employment Agreement (EA) verification checks and approvals.
POLICY & COMPLIANCE

Ensure policy governance and compliance communications.
-
Support service delivery by addressing policy comprehension and handling employee queries.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Support performance management processes and initiatives.

Assist in tracking and analyzing performance-related data for decision-making.

Creating training/tutorial materials for performance management.

Experience and Qualifications
-
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
-
Experience working with Microsoft Office packages (MS Teams, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.).

Experience in HR data management, compensation analysis, or related HR functions for decision-making.
-
Experience in conducting change management engagements and presentations.
-
Demonstrable ability to manage projects to completion.
-
Experience with developing clear reports and communication briefs.
-
Demonstrable ability to address and connect with large audiences.
-
Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Membership with the ZIHRM.
-
Additional membership with international Human Resource / Compensation & Benefits DSDSGFInstitutes will be an added advantage.
2. SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER
This position will be responsible for providing strategic partnership with the various business units under his/her portfolio, execute the people agenda and manage a team of HRBPs and HR Advisors.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of HRBPS and HR Advisors
-
Operate as a senior relationship manager for client base and is responsible for broking HR specialists and HRSS to execute people strategies.

Work with the departmental leadership to identify and develop talent
-
Execute strategic objectives as articulated by the Superintendent Operations & Business Partnering. Explaining key focus areas to line managers.
-
Understand business areas’ plans to develop and deliver people strategies and solutions for your own business areas
-
Provide strategic partnership with senior business leaders and HODs
-
Provide sound advice / consultancy services on organisational development/design, talent, leadership, resourcing and building organisational capability
-
Provide advice to senior departmental leaders on people matters and act as a sounding board and coach.
-
Ensure seamless delivery and interactions with specialist teams
-
Drive projects and change effectiveness across their business areas
-
Set clear direction and plans for short term actions, able to flex and vary resources and priotise in response to changing situations.
-
Provide HR project assistance and guidance and deployment of specialist product or initiatives to the frontline i.e. lead the implementation of business changes with appropriate specialist support.

Partner with talent specialists to develop interventions aimed at enhancing business performance.

Be involved proactively in key people processes and initiatives e.g. workforce planning, talent acquisition, career and succession planning

Proactively seek feedback from the business leaders on the quality of HR service delivery

Analyse and investigate internal people trends and identify improvement opportunities.

Experience and Qualifications

At least 6-8 years’ formal work experience
-
Minimum of 5 years in Human Resources in middle management as a generalist or HR specialist role
-
Demonstrated knowledge of local labour laws and HR Regulations, policies and procedures.

Prior experience in the mining industry or other resource industry role desirable.
-
Member of ZIHRM – a must
-
Minimum of Bachelor of Arts Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources or related field.

Master’s Degree an added advantage
-
Valid Zambian driver’s licence
