Job Description

The Business Regulatory Review Agency (BRRA) is a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry (MCTI). The Agency is mandated to review business regulations and develop interventions that are aimed at improving the business environment. In line with its mandate, BRRA implements programmes aimed at ensuring that policies, laws and regulations relating to business activity are sound, robust and of high quality.

The Agency therefore, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the positions below:

1. JOB PURPOSE:

1.0 HUMAN RESOURCE INFORMATION AND SYSTEMS CLERK (1)

To undertake the provision of basic registry services to enhance accessibility to information.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

(a) Minimum primary/secondary education

Full Form V/Grade Twelve Certificate
Minimum vocational/professional qualifications

Certificate in records management or its equivalent

(b) Minimum Relevant Pre-job experience

Nil

(d) Communication skills:

i. Written Skills
ii Ability to write reports

iii. Oral Skills
iv. Able to communicate in English fluently.

2.0 PERSONAL ASSISTANT (1)

1. JOB PURPOSE:

To undertake secretarial and administrative duties in the office of the Executive Director to facilitate efficient and effective operations.

2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

(a) Minimum primary/secondary education

Full Form V/Grade Twelve Certificate

(b) Minimum vocational/professional qualifications

Diploma in office management or its equivalent

ShorthandShorthand/Typing speed of 120/65wpm

(c) Minimum Relevant Pre-job experience

A minimum of 2 years work experience

(d) Communication skills

(i) Written Skills
Ability to write comprehensive reports.
(ii) Oral Skills
Able to communicate in English fluently.

(e) Other Skills/Attributes:

3.0 DIRECTOR LEGAL AND BOARD SECRETARY (1)

1. JOB PURPOSE:

To oversee the provision of Board Secretariat and legal services in the Agency to facilitate the conduct of the business of the Board and ensure the Agency operates within the confines of the law.

2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

(a) Minimum primary/secondary education
Full Form V/Grade Twelve Certificate

(b) Minimum vocational/professional qualifications

Bachelor of Law degree
Advocate of the High Court
Member of the Law Association of Zambia

(c) Minimum Relevant Pre-job experience

A minimum of 10 years, 4 of which should be at management level.

(d) Communication skills:
i. Written Skills
Ability to write technical and analytical reports.

ii. Oral Skills
Able to communicate in English fluently.

(e) Other Skills/Attributes:

4.0 DRIVER (1)

1. JOB PURPOSE:

To drive vehicles on official business to facilitate the mobility of officers and materials

2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

(a) Minimum primary/secondary education

General Certificate of Education

(b) Minimum vocational/professional qualifications

Drivers licence class C

(c) Minimum Relevant Pre-job experience

A minimum of 2 years work experience

(d) Communication skills:

(i) Written Skills
(ii) Ability to write reports. Oral Skills

(e) Able to communicate in English fluently
