Main Duties
-
Undertakes the delivery of lectures in accordance with the curricula in order to impart knowledge to students
-
Undertakes student’s assessment, research supervision, and maintenance of performance records in order to determine effectiveness of the level of lecturing
-
Prepares schemes of work and lesson plans in order to ensure efficient delivery of lectures
-
Prepares teaching aids and lecture materials in order to improve the effectiveness of lectures
-
Undertakes research and consultancy in the relevant field in order to contribute to the body of knowledge and promote best practice
Minimum Qualifications
-
Full Form V/ Grade 12 Certificate
-
BSc. In the relevant field of specialization.

A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
-
Qualification in Teaching Methodology is a must with at least 2 years work experience
-
Computer literacy (word, excel, power point packages)

2.0 PROCUREMENT UNIT
2.1 HEAD PROCUREMENT
Main Duties
-
To provide strategic leadership of the procurement function and expert advice to Management to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services in line with the Public Procurement Act and related policies and regulations.
-
Plan, coordinate and manage all procurement activities in line with the approved procurement plan and budget and in accordance with Public Procurement Act.
-
Oversee supply market surveys to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions and ensure purchases are sourced from the most competitive sources
-
Review Procurement requisitions for completeness and clarity of the specifications and assist end-users with the preparation of specifications and terms of conditions for the solicitation documents.
-
Manage the bidding process and the evaluation of bids, post qualification or negotiations and recommend the award of contracts and publishing the contract information
-
Ensure that all the College’s procurement processes are conducted in line with the Public Procurement Act and the Zambia Public Procurement Authority guidelines
-
Prepare and submit procurement reports to Management for decision making and review by the Zambia Public Procurement Authority
-
Develop and implement the internal procurement guidelines to ensure adherence to the Public Procurement Act and timely acquisition of goods.
-
Works and services Plan and co-ordinate Procurement Committee meetings. Prepare and present Procurement Committee papers to the Procurement Committee for decision making. Implement the resolutions of the Procurement Committee
-
Identify, manage and mitigate risks in the procurement of goods, works and services to reduce exposure to risks
-
Ensure resolution of audit queries for the unit
-
Identify training needs and trends in the profession relevant to the long-term effectiveness of the unit as well leading, coaching and mentoring staff
-
Ensure the existence of an organized and secure filing system that documents all the procurement processes and decisions to provide a trail for probity and audit purposes
Minimum Qualifications
-
Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and supply or any other related field
-
A Masters degree is an added advantage
-
Fully paid up member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
-
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in procurement with at least three (3) years at middle management level

3.0 ICT SECTION
3.1 ICT ADMINISTRATOR
Major Responsibilities
The ICT Administrator will manage the College’s ICT Department. The Administrator will have a strategic input into ICT planning, budgets and projects, together with responsibility for delivery of a high quality ICT service to staff and students. Other roles include the following:

The overall administration of ICT systems & services
-
Lead and develop the ICT team, maintaining a collaborative and constructive working environment within the department, Senior Management Team (SMT) and across the College.
-
To deliver the strategic development of the ICT function in support of the business objectives of the College.
-
To manage the ICT budget, to produce budgetary proposals as part of the annual planning round, and to report on expenditure periodically through annual monitoring reports.
-
To build and maintain constructive relationships with Heads of Schools and Managers at all levels, in order to provide them with high quality, well-supported technology that meets their business needs and supports their business processes.
-
To ensure there is regular dialogue with users of applications on upgrades and updates and that information on applications and their use is held in a common area for staff to access.
-
To shape and oversee support services so that operational problems and individual users’ competencies are developed to an agreed common standard.
-
To manage all ICT projects, ensuring that they are delivered to required standards and on time in order to provide high quality ICT systems and services.
-
To be responsible for the network infrastructure, it’s maintenance, development and ongoing availability.
-
Ensure data is stored securely and is accessible at all times
Minimum Qualifications
-
Full Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or ICT related field from a reputable university;
-
A Masters Degree will be an added advantage
-
At least 3 years working experience in a senior ICT position.
-
Oracle or related database certification would be an added advantage;
-
Member of the Information Communication Technologies Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) or related professional body (proof of valid membership to be attached).
-
Experience in project management would be an added advantage;
-
Should show experience of leading a team of developers in systems development.

4.0 LIBRARY
4.1 ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN X 01
Main Duties
-
Cataloguing and Shelving of books, periodical and magazines
-
Management of Library Resources (both manual and electronic)
-
Report Writing of activities of the Library
-
Planning of activities to improve the user’s experience in the Library Administration of Library assets
Minimum Qualifications

4.2 LIBRARY ASSISTANT X 01
Main Duties
-
Carrying out Shelving and Shelf Reading D Attending to users at the circulation point

Collection of user statistics for decision making Data entry on the Library Management System

5.0 DEAN OF STUDENTS’ AFFAIRS
5.1 HOSTEL MATRON X 01

Main Duties
-
Supervising the cleaning of hostel facilities
-
Issuing out of rooms and bed spaces o deserving students
-
Reporting any damages of installations or infrastructure to the relevant authorities through the office of the Dean of Students
-
Carrying out activities that involve student welfare such as counselling in order to create a conducive living environment Minimum Qualifications

Diploma in Hotel & Tourism Management

Diploma in Counselling

Demonstrable work experience of at least two years

5.3 COLLEGE COUNSELLOR (FEMALE) X 01
Main Duties
-
Undertakes the Counselling of students with various social and academic challenges
-
Undertakes the maintenance of relevant records for the office Maintains updated confidential files and statistics on students.
-
Undertakes the submission of monthly and annual reports
-
Conducts/facilitates talks on HIV/AIDS and other related social issues to students and staff.
-
Carries out HIV/AIDS and GBV activities to raise awareness among College stakeholders
-
Develops and promotes peer counselling initiative among students and staff to foster relationships and improve communication skills
Minimum Qualifications

6.0 HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT
6.1 HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER X 01
Main Duties
-
Undertakes effective human resource to ensure that the College has the right number of staff at the right time.
-
Assists in the undertaking of the recruitment and induction new members of staff
-
Assists in the Interpretation and implementation of the College’s terms and conditions of service, management decisions and policies relating to employment, compensation, training and development and staff welfare.
-
Undertakes the administration of the College’s Disciplinary Code and Grievance Procedures in order to maintain discipline and industrial harmony.
-
Assists in the implementation of the College’s staff welfare policies and programmes to boost employee morale and motivation.
-
Undertakes the updating and management of the Personnel Information System aimed at maintaining up to date personnel records.
-
Assists in the promotion of a positive industrial relations atmosphere in the College and deals with employee representatives.
-
Assists the Human Resource Manager to implement and monitor the APAS performance management system at the College.
-
Prepares and submits adhoc and periodic reports of the Sectional activities/affairs/performance and related issues

6.2 STENOGRAPHERS X 03
Main Duties
-
Undertakes the typing of a variety of correspondence, reports, minutes, memoranda, notices, lecture notes and handouts for the Head of School.

Undertakes the handling of confidential information and properly secures confidential documents and records
-
Screens phone calls, visitors and makes appointments for the superior
-
Ensures office is always clean and tidy in order to maintain good hygiene standards and good corporate image
-
Ensures speedy delivery/distribution and tracking of mail using an Activity Log Maintains an accurate and up to date filing system for ease reference and retrieval
-
Manages superior’s diary
-
Prepares and produces adhoc and periodic activity and performance reports on behalf of the superior.

7.1 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Main Duties

Undertakes the preparation of the College Business Plan Undertakes the maintenance of records of activities carried out

Maintains records of Tenant registers
-
Produces monthly reports on various College activities carried out
-
Undertakes the development and introduction of new service areas in order to expand the College revenue base
-
Undertakes the development of project proposals for resource mobilization from co- operating partners and other stakeholders
