LOLC Finance Zambia Limited is a registered Deposit taking Non-Bank Financial Institution with a Housing Finance License. The Company currently operates from thirteen locations, namely Head Office in Lusaka, Main Branch in Central Lusaka, Kitwe, Solwezi, Chingola, Ndola, Kalumbila, Kabwe, Chipata, Mansa, Choma, Mongu and Livingstone.

To support the LOLC Finance Zambia vision, we are recruiting qualified and experienced individuals for the following position:
1. HEAD – INTERNAL AUDIT
Overall Objective; Responsible for carrying out business process analysis by reviewing the quality of business processes, evaluate the implications of process design improvement recommendations on the business strategic objectives and obtain by-in of process owners to accept recommendations.
Job Responsibilities;

Drive Internal Audit quality assurance by reviewing the results of assessments, establishing a reporting structure for the result of the assessments that maintains appropriate credibility and objectivity, and communicate opportunities to Senior Management and the board.

Responsible for driving Internal Audit engagement execution by identifying and escalating strategic implications to the business from audit engagement findings as well as evaluating the significant risk exposures and control issues including fraud risk and governance.

Responsible for driving Internal Audit engagement planning by evaluating completeness and relevance of risk assessments, evaluate the relevance and the prioritization or focus of the audit plans and its alignment with Internal Audit and business strategies.

Lead and asses the annual risk analysis to formulate risk-based audit plans.

Participate in the strategic information gathering and analysis process by evaluating business insights, assess the strategic implications and make appropriate recommendations as well as communicate high risk areas with process owners, Senior Management and the Board.

Drive the fraud risk management process by evaluating fraud detection and reporting tools and measures, as well as evaluate adequacy of risk response strategy and practices to deter and prevent fraud.

Support the governance process through engaging the board and senior management on governance best practices and issues.

Responsible for developing safeguards to maintain auditors’ independence.

Conduct reviews of internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure that they are operating effectively.

Reviewing financial statements, research financial trends, and prepare forecasts for possible upcoming scenarios.

Evaluating the effectiveness of risk management programs within the organization to ensure that risks are identified and managed appropriately.

Conducting special audits and investigations into suspected misconduct by employees or board members.

Review and adjust the internal audit team skills mix and diversity according to organisation’s objectives and risks.

Develop and implement a plan for professional and career development of Internal Audit staff.

Establish clear performance standards for internal auditors and the internal audit function.
-
Determine an adequate budget to support Internal Audit planned activities.
Qualifications;
-
Full Grade 12 Certificate
-
Professional Accounting/Auditing qualification.
-
At least 10 years’ hands on Internal Audit experience
-
5-7 years supervisory/management experience.

Membership of ZICA/ACCA and/or other relevant professional bodies
-
Experience in a financial institution

2. COMPLIANCE OFFICER x 1 – LUSAKA
Job Responsibilities
-
Develop and implement programmes for the prevention of money laundering, financing of terrorism or proliferation or any other serious offence relating to money laundering, financing of terrorism or proliferation
-
Develop internal policies, procedures and controls to fulfil obligations above.
-
Receiving and vetting suspicious transaction reports (STR) and currency transaction reports (CTR) from staff
-
Ongoing training for staff to make them aware of the laws relating AML/CFT or proliferation or any other serious offence relating to money laundering, financing of terrorism or proliferation
-
Conduct quarterly AML/CFT institutional risk assessments and submit reports to Senior Management and the Board of Directors
-
Staying abreast of changes in applicable banking and finance legislation and adjusting policies and processes as necessary to reflect such obligatio
-
Ascertaining compliance risks and proposing mechanisms for mitigating them
-
Familiarity with current international and national industry practices and professional standard
-
Knowledge of legal requirements and controls vis a vis Anti Money Laundering and financing of terrorism.
Qualifications;
-
Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accountancy or Law from a recognised University
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Compliance Officer in a reputable financial institutio
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Senior Management as Compliance Officer
-
Experience in Risk Management at Senior Management level
-

3. TELLER x 1 – LIVINGSTONE
Overall Objective: To manage cash transactions and to maintain good service delivery at teller points.
Job Responsibilities;

Ensure prompt and efficient payment and posting of all cash transactions

Ensure proper balancing on a daily basis

Oversees responsibility for service delivery at teller points
-
Cross selling of bank products
-
Any other duties as assigned by the Cash Officer/Customer Service Manager

Qualifications
-
Minimum of a Diploma in Banking and Finance or any 2-year business Diploma from a recognized learning institution.

Full grade Twelve school certificate with Five (5) credits or better, including Mathematics and English.

Minimum requisite experience – 1-year relevant work experience.
4. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP OFFICER – FIXED DEPOSITS x 1 – LIVINGSTONE
Overall Objective: To mobilise and manage fixed deposit and saving account clients for the business and manage client accounts accordingly.
Job Responsibilities

Mobilize fixed deposits and Savings through own portfolio and channel partners

Achieve given monthly targets

Must possess knowledge of Fixed deposits and other investment products
-
Local knowledge of the catchment and competition
-
Should possess experience in managing Fixed Deposit portfolio in a financial sector
-
Should possess the knowledge and experience in documentation and processes
-
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
-
Coordination with the branch staff to increase branch volume and growth
-
Ensure to meet minimum savings account acquisition
-
Provide prompt solutions to customer queries
Qualifications;

Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, from a recognized University

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a qualification in reputable financial institution
