Mongu Trades Training Institute is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to be appointed in full time vacancies.
FULL TIME POSITIONS
1. INTERNAL AUDITOR
To undertake Internal audit operations in order to ensure effective controls are adhered to in the utilization of public funds/resources.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting administratively to the Principal and functionally to the Finance and Administration Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, the following are the duties the auditor will be expected to carry out:-

Undertake timely and effectively, audit assignments in order to assess the impact of the internal controls.

Undertake timely, preparation of internal audit reports in order to facilitate decision making.
-
Prepares regularly, Annual Audit work plans and programs in order to attain set objectives.
-
Undertake timely, development of departmental and individual and work plans in order to monitor and evaluate performance.
-
Design a disbursement system that will eliminate inefficiencies in conformity to institutional policy and best practices
-
Assess and identify risk areas in the institution’s operations and processes to aid introduction of relevant mitigatory measures for identified risk.

Perform audits on regular basis to monitor the application of systems of controls in the various sectional operations
-
To provide training and support to staff within the organization.
-
Undertake effectively, training and support with the institute in order to attain the objectives of the department.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Good inter-personal and communication skill

Analytical, organizational and leader skills

Excellent report writing and oral presentation skills
-
Grade 12 school certificate
-
Minimum of two-three years relevant experience in a similar field or in auditing firm
-
Degree of accountancy, ACCA II , CA Zambia finalist
-
Professional membership in related field Zambia Institute Of Internal Auditors
2. ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (01)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-
Undertakes effectively, payroll inputs in order to facilitate payments of salaries and other allowances.
-
Undertakes timely and accurately the maintenance of books of accounts in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information.
-
Undertakes timely banking of revenue collections in order to safeguard public funds.
-
Undertakes effectively, preparation of responses to audit queries in order to facilitate decision making.
-
Undertakes timely, preparation of monthly expenditure statements in order to monitor levels of expenditure.
-
Undertakes timely, preparation of registers of damages and losses in order to facilitate recoveries of government funds and property.
-
Undertakes timely, recoveries of loans and advances in order to facilitate repayments.
-
Undertakes timely, preparation of financial reports in order to facilitate decision making.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Grade 12 school certificate
-
Minimum of two-three years relevant experience in a similar field
-
Diploma in Accounting, finance or any other related discipline
-
Professional membership in related field
-
Competent in accounting software programs
-
Knowledge in Microsoft office

3. HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (01)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Undertakes timely and accurately interpretation of rules and regulations in order to enhance adherence.
-
Supervise timely development of individual and departmental work plan in order to monitor and evaluate performance.
-
Ensures effectively, human resource development and training functions in order to facilitate staff development.
-
Supervises and undertakes timely updating of database in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information.
-
Ensures effectively, preparation of the unit budget in order to facilitate acquisition of financial resources.
-
Supervises effectively the human and other resources in order to attain the objectives of the department.
-
Undertakes regularly, the sensitisation of HIV/AIDS programmes in order create awareness.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum of two-three years relevant experience in a similar field
-
Degree in Human resources Management , Business administration, public Administration or any other related discipline
-
Valid 2024 Paid up professional ZIHRM membership

4. MATHEMATICS, AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICS AND AGRICULTURE LECTURER (03)
REQUIREMENTS
-
An earned Diploma or Degree in related field from a reputable and accredited University.
-
Must have TEVETA accreditation
-
Two to three (2-3) years teaching experience.
-
A fully paid up member of a relevant profession body with a valid practicing license.
-
A Certificate, Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology or Degree in Education.
-
Previous experience at a Trade School or College will be an added advantage.
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Teach the assigned courses.
-
Develop as well as improve teaching materials for the assigned courses.
-
Facilitate discussions and sessions.
-
Prepare teaching file at the start of term for the assigned courses.
