1. SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS X 2
This position reports to the
Production Manager
. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
-
Monitor and direct all production activities on the assigned shift, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
-
Lead, train, and motivate production line staff to achieve targets and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
-
Ensure all products meet quality standards and that all production processes comply with GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory guidelines.
-
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor production output, efficiency, and resource allocation, making adjustments as needed.
-
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues and equipment malfunctions on the production floor to minimize downtime.
-
Implement Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles to optimize processes and reduce waste.
-
Liaise with other departments, such as maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain, to address issues and streamline operations.
-
Generate and analyze production data to create reports for senior management, supporting informed decision-making.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
-
Degree in Production Management or Chemical Engineering or related field.
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG or beverage sector.
-
Strong background in Production and root cause analysis
-
Experience with FMCG software.
-
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
-
Knowledge of Zambia’s FMCG regulations and HSE standards is an advantage.
2. MACHINE OPERATORS X 16
This position reports to the Shift Production Supervisor. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
-
Start, stop, and adjust various processing and packaging machines, such as bottle blowing, filling, labelling, and shrink-wrapping machines.
-
Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards, monitoring for proper labelling, sealing, and product formation.
-
Perform basic maintenance, lubrication, and inspections on machines to minimize downtime and resolve mechanical issues in collaboration with the technical team.
-
Adhere to safety protocols and 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-
Accurately record production data, machine performance, and maintenance tasks. Promptly report anomalies and mechanical faults to supervisors.
-
Work effectively with other team members to achieve production goals, participate in team goal reviews, and follow work instructions.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
-
A minimum of a Diploma in Engineering or Mechanics
-
Hands-on experience operating machinery in a beverage or manufacturing setting is essential, with some roles requiring 1-2 years of experience.
-
Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to follow instructions precisely, and proficiency in English (written and spoken) are critical.
-
A strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, and a willingness to work long hours in a factory setting are also important.
3. PALLETIZERS X 24
This position reports to the Shift Production Supervisor. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
-
Ensure availability of pallets, layer pads and stretch film before start of production.
-
Palletize observing safety and hygiene at all times.
-
Cleanliness of the work area and its environment must be maintained at all times.
-
Proper recording of all pallets and other materials used at the palletizing must during production ensuring that no product is transferred to the warehouse without authorization from the production supervisor.
-
Trouble shoot on any faults and report all breakdowns and abnormal machine behaviors to immediate supervisor.
-
Switch off all machines and conveyors when not in use.
-
Ensure proper inspection of the final products is done effectively and proper records put in place.
-
Assist in the changeover.
-
Ensure that all the none conforming packs and products are reworked or isolated with immediate effect.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience.
-
A minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
-
Experience in a manufacturing, particularly a beverage or food-manufacturing setting, is a significant asset.
-
Capacity to lift heavy objects and the ability to move or store pallets.
-
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand on elevated platforms.
4. ASSISTANT ASSET CARE MANAGER X 1
This position reports to the
Asset Care Manager
. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
-
Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of production assets.
-
Increase preventive maintenance across the plant to minimize breakdowns and reduce the mean time between failures (MTBF).
-
Ensure the proper upkeep, maintenance, and prevention of loss of tools and equipment within the engineering department.
-
Instill principles of basic cycle maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, and inspection (CIL) in operators and technicians to foster a proactive maintenance culture.
-
Coordinate with production to ensure prompt and reliable service from the engineering/maintenance team.
-
Develop business plans with productivity improvements and cost-efficiency targets for the maintenance department.
-
Lead change management within the engineering department, focusing on people, technology, regulatory requirements, and productivity initiatives.
-
Organize and schedule annual overhauls of production lines and facilities.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
-
Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any other related discipline.
-
2 years relevant hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience with at least 2 years’ experience in a beverage company in a managerial capacity.
-
Proven experience in Engineering Practices on Maintenance Management
-
Knowledge of maintenance program is required.
-
Basic understanding of budget, cost control and project management.
5. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS X 2
This position reports to the Assistant Asset Care Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
-
Create and improve automated systems, such as robotic arms for assembly, conveyors for material transfer, and control systems for process optimization in a beverage production environment.
-
Design and implement automated solutions for tasks like filling, sealing, capping, and packaging of beverages, as well as for warehousing and logistics.
-
Program and configure microcontrollers and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and monitor automated equipment and processes.
-
Conduct system testing, analyze performance data, and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of production lines.
-
Support the ongoing maintenance and upgrades of machinery and automated infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of control and automation systems.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field like Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
-
Experience with control systems and microcontrollers.
-
Familiarity with robotics software for simulation and programming.
-
Knowledge of sensors and communication technologies for motion and electronic communication.
6. UTILITIES TECHNICIANS X2
This position reports to the Assistant Asset Care Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
-
Safely operate and monitor utility equipment like boilers, compressors, and water treatment systems to maintain optimal performance and output.
-
Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure reliability and prevent breakdowns.
-
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in utilities systems, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
-
Adhere to and enforce all safety regulations, including isolation, lock-out, and tag-out procedures, as well as health and environmental standards.
-
Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance data in company systems.
-
Work to enhance the efficiency and reliability of utilities systems and support the installation and commissioning of new systems.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
.
-
A Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or utilities environment, preferably in the beverage or food industry.
-
Experience with process control systems (PLCs, SCADA) and industrial automation.
-
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
-
Familiarity with specific equipment like boilers, compressors, chillers, and water treatment systems.
-
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
-
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
-
Good communication and technical reporting skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies.
7. TOOLS STORES KEEPERx1
This position reports to the
Assistant Asset Care Manager
. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
-
Receiving, inspecting, and storing new tools and equipment.
-
Conducting regular physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
-
Issuing tools and materials to maintenance staff and tracking their usage.
-
Maintaining detailed records of all tool stock and locations.
-
Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
-
Scheduling and coordinating with external vendors for major repairs or services.
-
Dismantling and replacing defective parts using hand or power tools.
-
Ensuring all tools are maintained in good, working order.
-
Enforcing safety protocols for tool handling and storage.
-
Conducting periodic safety inspections and ensuring tools meet safety standards.
-
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment.
-
Operating a tool check-out system to monitor tool distribution.
-
Maintaining detailed records on tool usage, maintenance, and repairs.
-
Using computer systems to manage inventory and create work orders or purchase requests.
-
Reporting damaged items, shortages, and other discrepancies to supervisors
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience.
-
A full Grade 12 certificate, often with credits in English and Mathematics, is a common minimum requirement.
-
Certificate or Diploma in Stores Management, from a recognized institution in stores or warehouse management is frequently preferred.
2 years of experience, particularly in the engineering and manufacturing.
-
Prior experience with inventory control and stock management systems is a strong asset.
-
Skills in inventory management software and basic office software are necessary.
-
Strong attention to detail, the ability to organize records, and good analytical abilities to manage stock.
-
Effective oral and written communication is important for reporting and interacting with suppliers.
-
The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items, is often a requirement.
-
Familiarity with engineering materials, tools, and equipment is a plus..
