Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
- Lead the board in setting the strategic direction of the National Health Board.
- Ensure alignment with national health policies and priorities.
- Promote a forward-thinking approach to healthcare innovation, equity, and sustainability.
Governance and Oversight
- Preside over board meetings, ensuring effective decision-making and adherence to governance frameworks.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary representative and spokesperson for the National Health Board.
- Foster relationships with government officials, healthcare providers, and community leaders.
- Advocate for public health priorities and resource allocation.
Performance Monitoring
- Evaluate the performance of the board and senior leadership in achieving health outcomes.
- Monitor financial management and resource utilization to ensure accountability.
- Promote transparency through regular reporting to stakeholders and the public.
