JOB OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Nutritionist to join our team and support our customers with expert guidance on animal nutrition and feed products.
About us:
Livestock Services is the leading supplier of inputs for both livestock & crop farming in Zambia. The central objective of the organization is to provide a wide range of products to assist in cost effective production to both large & small-scale farmers. In addition, Livestock Services provides free advisory services to famers in a variety of farming activities including dairy, aquaculture, agronomy, fencing, irrigation, animal health & other related agricultural activities.
Job Title: Nutritionist
Location: Mazabuka
Department: Animal Nutrition
Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice to customers on animal nutrition and feed products.

Conduct on-site visits to assess the nutritional needs of livestock and recommend appropriate feeding programs.

Develop and implement customized nutrition plans for various types of animals.

Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and products in animal nutrition.

Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders to monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans and make adjustments as necessary.

Conduct workshops and training sessions for customers and staff on animal nutrition and feeding practices.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and nutrition plans.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors’ degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, or a related field.

Proven experience in animal nutrition, diet formulation and consulting.

Strong understanding of animal physiology, nutritional requirements and feed ingredients.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service.

Proficiency in using nutrition formulation software and tools.
Added Advantage:
-
Experience working with various animal species, eg, livestock, poultry & companion animals.
-
Knowledge of local agricultural practices and challenges.
-
Additional certifications or training in animal nutrition.
