Our client, an independent security service company that strives to deliver the optimum service to all clients through expertly designed combinations of traditional and cutting-edge security services is looking to hire a Operations Manager (OM) to join their team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our security operations, ensuring the safety and security of our organization, employees, and assets.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all security operations and personnel.
• Manage security budgets and resources.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as human resources and IT, to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
• develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols to protect the company against threats, theft, vandalism and other security risks.
• Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigating security breaches and reinforcing appropriate measures to mitigate them.
• Maintaining and updating emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know their roles and responsibilities.
• Collaborating with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security measures and respond to incidents.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
• Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage access control systems, surveillance equipment and other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyse security systems and technologies.
• Prepare and present security reports to senior management.

• Must have a full grade 12 certificate
• Advanced Security training certification is a plus.
• Past experience of at least 8 years in the police, military, security wings or similar organisation; with at least 5 of those years in leadership role.
• Risk management skills with well-developed problem identification and solving.
• Computer literate with working experience of using Word, Excel and PowerPoint for managing Operations
• Advanced security training with firearms training and certification in accordance with local laws.
• Familiarity with recent security trends and specific threats in Zambia.
• Record of proven reliability and good conduct.
• Experience in all areas of physical security and access control
• Must have a valid Police certificate
• Must be a citizen of Zambia.
• Must be able to speak Nyanja and have an English proficiency between intermediate-advanced level.
• Must hold a valid Zambian driver’s license.
