Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the position of Operator – Medium Loading Equipment (Komatsu PC2000, PC3000 and PC4000) to join the versatile mining team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

The Operator – Medium Loading Equipment  will be responsible for carrying out all duties associated with Medium Loading equipment operations in mining department. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform fine digging tasks to ensure accurate depths and dimensions.
• Load materials into haul trucks and backfilling.
• Conduct a thorough inspection of the machine to identify any damage or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with other employees and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure the equipment is kept clean in all its interior and exterior components.
• Conduct clean-up works and other critical operations as required in haul roads and mine dump areas.
• Report all defects on the machine to the maintenance and mine dispatch section.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Must be certified to operate the specified loading equipment
• Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and mine operations
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Certificate of service from any recognized organization will be an added advantage
