Choma District Women Development Association (Choma DWDA) is a community based organization in Choma district. This assessment aims to evaluate the organization’s internal capacity, strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement to enhance its effectiveness and sustainability.
Goal
The primary goal of this consultancy is to conduct a thorough examination (Organizational Assessment) of Choma DWDA internal processes, and practices across critical organizational functional areas. It is specifically designed to strengthen the delivery of the current strategic plan, meet partner and stakeholder expectations and align resources (human, financial and assets) to current needs. A strong emphasis will be placed on a review of the current organizational structure, including reporting lines and delivery methods.
Purpose
The purpose of these Terms of Reference (ToR) is to outline the objectives, scope, methodology, and expected deliverables for an Organizational Assessment (OA) for Choma DWDA. This is aimed at fostering long-term sustainability (financial and human resources, efficiency and effectiveness).
The main objectives are:
Scope of the consultancy
The consultancy will conduct a standard organizational assessment to cover the following or more of the areas below:
a) Role Division: Alignment to Strategy (Structuring)
b) Project management: Strengths and Gaps
c) Program Delivery and Feedback mechanisms
d) Business Development and Sustainability
Methodology
The Organizational Assessment: will involve a combination of the following methods:
Deliverables
The following deliverables are expected:
a) Assessment Report, including findings, analysis, and recommendations in the following areas
b) Action Plan for implementing the Recommendations.
4. Qualifications of Consultant/Firm
The consultant(s) or consulting firm should have the following qualifications:
a. Demonstrated experience in conducting capacity assessments for nonprofit organizations.
b. Proven Expertise in the areas of organizational development, finance management, Human Resources, communication, Fundraising, and Data management and archiving.
c. Strong analytical and communication skills.
