Job Summary:
Mulungushi Innovations is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paints, varnishes, and other finishes to various structures and surfaces. Your craftsmanship and eye for detail will be essential in ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as needed. Ensure that surfaces are smooth and ready for paint application.

Painting:
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Ensure even application and quality finishes on all surfaces.

Color Mixing:
Mix paints and stains to achieve desired colors and finishes. Maintain accurate records of paint mixtures for future reference.

Quality Control:
Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications. Address any issues or imperfections promptly and effectively.

Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment.

Maintenance:
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to management.

Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and contractors to ensure project timelines are met. Communicate effectively regarding project requirements and updates.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in painting or trade school training is preferred.

3+ years of experience in painting or a related field.

Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety practices.
