Company profile:
Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) is an international non-governmental organization that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of rural bridges. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly capable Partnerships Manager to support our Zambia Program.

Job purpose
The Partnership Manager will report to the country director for Zambia and support the development, coordination, and monitoring of national and local partnerships in support of the B2P  Zambia program. He/She will Support the formulation and implementation of a B2P Zambia partnership strategy that  aligns B2P Zambia program objectives with government priorities nationally, sub-regionally and locally   Responsible for the development of standardized guidance for the Build Team with local stakeholders at provincial, district and community levels including pursuing opportunities engagement on use of the constituency development for bridge construction, in close coordination with the Technical Assistance Coordinator, and other Zambia Program team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

National level Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of B2P Zambia’s overall partnership and advocacy strategy to address short and long-term priorities.
Support the CD in identifying and pursuing opportunities for potential partnerships with key stakeholders at the national level, including conducting a stakeholder analysis as needed.
Ensure critical stakeholders are timely and regularly informed about B2Ps activities and progress.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, briefing materials on selected topics of program implementation for the Country Director’s engagements.
Support the country director in tracking and following up on national-level commitments from partners.
Support CD and PM to ensure timely follow-up and implementation of agreed actions in strategic  partnership meetings.
Support and work with the TA Coordinator with the structuring and formalization of training on partnerships.

Provincial, District, and Constituency Level Responsibilities
Facilitate regular meetings with provincial stakeholders to strengthen program alignment with government priorities and plans.
Support and work with the Country Director and Program manager to ensure that local needs, priorities, and initiatives are integrated into higher levels of road development planning in the province.
Lead the development of standardized partnership engagement guidelines for the Build Team with local stakeholders at National, provincial, and district levels.
Support the Built Team to proactively identify and manage partnership risks.
Support the Build team to develop, implement and monitor local level implementation partnerships.
Support the Country Director in advocating for sustained political and financial commitment for rural infrastructure development from provincial leaders.
Facilitate feedback loops between provincial stakeholders and the Country Director to continuously document lessons and best practices for enhanced program implementation.
Explore partnerships with other non-state actors (i.e. NGOs) as appropriate, including leading where needed, consortium arrangements, coalitions, and appropriate networks.

General Responsibilities

Support planning and coordination of joint partner projects, meetings, and dialogues.
Gather systematic and regular feedback from national and local partners (lessons learned, best practices, and innovations) to improve implementation quality,  partnership outcomes, and project sustainability.
Due Diligence – Identify and assess partnership priority opportunities and risks and propose measures to secure opportunities and limit risk.
Compile monthly and quarterly reports on partnership activities, outcomes, risks, and lessons learned, and provide regular updates to the CD and other stakeholders.
Keep Salesforce updated with relevant partnership engagement information.
Assist with drafting partnership documents, letters, agreements and reports.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
BA in political science,  Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, management, or related social science field.

Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in partnership coordination and or management, community development, or local governance, preferably in rural settings.
Experience managing relationships with stakeholders or service providers
Strong understanding of Zambia’s provincial and district governance structures, as well as traditional leadership systems.
Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and grassroots organizations.
Experience in successful policy advocacy and strategy management is preferred
Policy research and writing skills and experience are an added asset.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships across various levels of governance.
Familiarity with rural access and infrastructure development issues is an advantage.

Skills Required
Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with diverse teams.
Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
Approachable and able to mentor others.
Excellent command of English language, with exceptional writing, reporting, presentation, and communication skills.

Physical requirements
The employee will spend some of their time in the field and be expected to live modestly in local accommodations and use local transportation to get around.  Walking in hilly terrain to bridge sites is expected.
