Position Overview

The incumbent of this role will be responsible for providing administrative and recruitment support to the People and culture unit’s day to day operations.

Major Responsibilities

Administration

• Drafting and issuing of employee contracts
• Providing employee information through maintenance of updated Head count data
• Tracking of contract periods and probationary end dates
• Monitoring of overtime and checking and verifying of attendance registers

Data Management

• Ensure employee personal files are updated and correctly captured in the employee data schedule.
• Update records for new staff accurately and any changes that occur
• Ensure all People and culture paperwork is filed timely and accurately

Recruitment and Selection

• Assisting with the creation of Job descriptions for new vacancies for lower-level positions
• Posting of Job adverts
• First line screening of Applicants
• Scheduling and supporting of interviews as assigned
• Coordination of onboarding /Induction of new employees and exit procedures
• Conducting background Checks

Qualifications

• Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
• Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management/Business Administration
• Paid-up Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management
• At least 1-2 years’ experience in Human resources or related field
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Team player
• High level confidentiality and integrity is a must
