Mulime farm is looking for an experienced supervisor in poultry management to oversee and manage the day to of the poultry production in both layers and broilers.
Position: Poultry Supervisor Location: Lusaka
Job Overview
The supervisor will be in charge of overseeing the entire process of pullet rearing and ensure standard management of the poultry production at the farm.
Some of the tasks include:
Oversee the entire process of pullet rearing and egg production, ensuring optimal animal health and productivity.
Coordinate, assign and supervise the work of all workers, farm machinery/equipment and any other work and tools provided at the farm
Provide technical advice to the farm Director on cost effective measures and improving production according to the agriculture standards.
Coordinate and keep stock of equipment’s and supplies, including seed, feeds, Crops planted etc
Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs at the farms
Supervise, monitor, and enforce procedures to maintain, poultry, animal and crop health and welfare.
Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
Supervise maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies.
Develop work schedules and establish procedures. (Timetables for workers)
Ensure farm safety, food safety and security and bio-security procedures are followed.
Maintain quality control and production records for crops, animals and poultry.
Perform general farm duties and any farm duties as directed by the Director
Develop and implement programs for the crop chemicals, livestock and poultry
Monitoring the entire production activities, making sure that the actual production is in accordance with production goals set and identifying and correcting the field production issue if the actual production is not in accordance with production goals
