Zambia Sugar Plc. Is a subsidiary of Illovo Sugar Africa (Pty) Ltd Group and is the leading Sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.

The company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following position at Nakambala Private School.

POSITION: PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER X1 – PERMANENT

The position reports to the Senior Teacher- Primary School. The successful candidate must be committed to providing quality education and creating a positive learning environment.

Prepare teaching materials, class timetables, set up the classroom and organise displays, create daily lesson plans using the syllabus provided by the Ministry of Education.
Maintenance of the attendance register.
Teach, correct, and evaluate pupils’ work.
Conduct remedial work for slow learners by giving extra lessons.
Plan and conduct extracurricular activities.
Support the administration team during the scheduled assemblies for pupils as and when the required.
Promote a healthy and safe environment, ensure adherence in safety protocols for al learners onsite (including but not limited to liaising with the hospital and clinic staff when pupils are unwell, accompanying them when they require medical attention).
Ensure that al learning materials used are safely kept e.g. school textbooks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Full Grade 12 Certificate.
Diploma or Degree in Primary School Teaching.
Three to four (3-4) years minimum work experience proven record in a primary school setting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
A valid practicing license from the Teaching Council of Zambia.
