The key purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain the Brewing plant to produce a consistent product of the right quality/quantity at optimum cost.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Prepare for plant start up.
  • Start up plant.
  • Run the plant.
  • Shut down the plant.
  • Execute cleaning of plant
  • Complete all documentation.
  • Control inputs usage
  • Ensure plant is in working order.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment.
  • Measure performance attributes
  • Record performance attributes
  • Monitor and evaluate trends.
  • Assure quality of inputs
  • Initiate corrective action.
  • Prepare for maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct autonomous maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct breakdown maintenance tasks.
  • Reduction in time to detect and time to correct defects.
  • Completed 5 Whys Job cards.
  • General housekeeping at work area
  • Implementation of VPO routines
  • Adherence to PPE policy
  • Identification of unsafe practices (SIOs)
  • Safe maintenance practices
  • Maintenance tools in good working order

Profile:

  • Min – Full Craft Certificate in engineering or plant operations
  • Ideal – Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering
  • Min 3 years in FMCG manufacturing industry
  • Must be a member of EIZ
  • Computer Literate
  • Ability to work in teams.
  • Team player and good communication skills
