VACANCY PROCESSING SUPERVISOR (TOBACCO)

Position: Processing Supervisor

Reporting To: Leaf and Sales Director

Role Overview.

Responsible for controlling and monitoring tobacco processing, ensuring compliance with AOI (Alliance One International) standard operating procedures and meeting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the on and off-season tobacco processing plan
• Oversee processing shift operations to optimize throughput and yield according to customer specifications.
• Monitor daily performance of the processing team, taking corrective action when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, environment (SHE), and standard tobacco receiving procedures (STRP).
• Optimize processing efficiency by adhering to throughput, yield, and customer specifications.
• Perform periodic checks to identify process equipment faults and propose improvements

Requisite Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Agriculture/Agronomy/ Tobacco processing or related field
• Experience in tobacco processing and warehouse maintenance -book keeping/accounting
• Agriculture/Agronomy Tobacco knowledge
• Analytical and problem solving abilities
