Mineral Link Ltd has an exciting opportunity arisen for an experienced Procurement and Inventory controller to join our dynamic and busy team. Reporting directly to the managing director and responsible for the procurement process from the demand planning through ordering, ensuring material costs fit budget. On the inventory side, you are responsible for actively monitoring, planning and ensuring ideal stock levels. The work is wide-ranging and fast-moving. It demands strong communication and coordination, commercial thinking and the ability to solve problems on the run and stay one step ahead.
ABOUT THE ROLE:

Preparing and distributing tender documentation and purchase orders for high-value items.

Overseeing the evaluation of bids and ensuring orders align with specifications.

Manage stores ensuring appropriate supply levels are held and adjusted as required with project requirements

Ensuring timely delivery by coordinating with logistics companies.

Identifying cost-effective procurement strategies without compromising quality.

Building strong supplier relationships to maximize business contributions.

Leading the workshop and site procurement team overseeing the purchasing and stores management functions.

Implementing and maintaining supply policies and procedures that align with the requirements and are practical in their application.

Providing technical guidance to maintenance activities to ensure high standards.

Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to foster strong relationships.
ABOUT YOU (QUALIFICATIONS)

Industry experience in Mining, Resources, or Logistics preferred; wide knowledge in Utilities particularly Logistics and Fixed Plant (capital projects) desirable.

Proven experience in managing a team, providing guidance, and delegating tasks effectively to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards. Strong focus on safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

A commitment to maintaining a high level of safety performance and positive workplace culture.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement and warehouse management within the mining industry.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise procurement documentation, commercial correspondence, and contract terms.

Sound negotiation skills with a demonstrated history of successfully negotiating complex contracts, amendments and commercial terms.
