Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for solar projects.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support company goals and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.
• Supplier Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Purchasing Operations:
• Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for solar projects.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements with suppliers.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials and avoid overstocking.
• Coordinate with project managers and other departments to forecast demand and plan inventory requirements.
• Cost Control:
• Analyze market trends and conduct cost analyses to ensure competitive pricing.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and supply chain activities.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement.
• CFA or equivalent certification preferred.
