VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT-PROGRAMMES OFFICER (1)

Programmes Officer
in line with its strategic objectives.
Summary of key Functions:

Ensure effective project management within focus areas of the Economics Association of Zambia;

Formulation and implementation of research programs and other related activities;
-
Provision of policy advice, briefs and facilitation of knowledge building and management;
-
Ensure creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy;
-
Monitor the attainment of programme/project outputs and objectives and intervene to solve problems and reshape programmes/projects as needed and guided by the CEO;
-
Demonstrates integrity by upholding professional values and ethical standards;
-
Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the Economics Association of Zambia; and
-
Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age sensitivity and adaptability.

Must be a paid-up member of the Economics Association of Zambia;

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from a reputable University;
-
Master’s degree will be an Added advantage; A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in economic research, policy analysis and project management;
-
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to interpret complex economic concepts into clear and accessible content;
-
Thorough understanding of development issues and political economy consideration is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and audiences.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of statistical software (MS Word, Excel, SPSS, STATA, etc)
