Job Introduction:
G4S-Zambia seeks to appoint a Project Manager who will take overall responsibility for the onsite Project Security at a contracted site.
This position demands a highly competent and adaptable individual who will need to deal with Security strategy formulation, policy and procedures. Some of the critical functions will be relationship management with senior staff, Government Agencies and other key stakeholders.
This position will be based in Lusaka and is on a fulltime basis and will be responsible for the day to day Security Project management duties of the dedicated G4S guard force. The PM will report to the Operations Director
Role Responsibility:

To manage and coordinate all the activities of the Security operations in the dedicated Project Security area, and related G4S sites.

To manage all aspects of transit security on the project and surrounding areas.

To liaise with respective law enforcement authorities and government security forces as well as local Cultural and Service Commanders in the area.

To manage security in Customer company owned and or leased properties.

Ensures cost effective and integrated Assets Protection Program is consistent with G4S Policies.

To implement the security strategy, policies and procedures as directed by G4S OPS Director.

To represent G4S at Management Meetings, Crisis Management Team and other meetings, where necessary.

To maintain contact and liaise with G4S Senior Management.

To Manage the process for establishing and maintaining an accountable methodology for establishing threat to Customer assets and for establishing security plans within the G4S-Zambia

To establish and maintain an accountable methodology for security response to emergencies affecting Customer assets.

To ensure adequate and effective security measures are in place, and appropriate networks maintained for securing all Company facilities
The Ideal Candidate:

Must have a full grade 12 certificate

Must have a valid driver’s licence

Must have proven in-depth knowledge and experience in the Security Operational field

Military or Police background at senior level. (Advantage)

Must have a minimum of 7 years Security; Management level experience (overseeing 300+ personnel)

Degree in Security Studies, Risk Management or related.

Must be proficient in written and spoken communication

Must be proficient with Word and Excel packages

Be honest, trustworthy and prepared to work extended hours
