JOB PURPOSE

To take responsibility for the management of IT related projects encompassing new product developments and enhancements.

• Development and execution of a functional project plan
• Management of project budgets (where required)
• Proactive management and mitigation of project risks
• Accurate, timely reporting
• Adherence to IT governance, risk and compliance standards

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS OF ROLE

General (pre-requisite)

• Excellent relationship building and communication skills at all organisational levels
• Influencing, negotiation, presentation and conflict management skills
• Able to motivate and manage a project team
• High levels of personal initiative, drive and tenacity
• Highly analytical and attentive to detail, whilst also able to see the bigger picture
• Comfortable with change and able to manage stress, pressure and tight deadlines

Technical Pre-requisite

• Familiar with basic project management principles and processes with an ability to scope, plan, execute and close projects
• Agile project management skills
• Relevant IT skills (project-specific)
• Basic accounting and financial management skills
• Knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite

Organisation (induction)

• Relevant systems, processes and products
• Sound understanding of the group structure and business flows
• High level understanding of the overall business and key strategic revenue drivers

Role (foundational knowledge)

• High level understanding of the end-to-end Card business
• How the organisation’s IT architecture and systems are configured
• The organisation’s development and set-up standards
• Relevant product knowledge
• Security protocols
• Relevant systems, processes, policies, procedures and workflows and their interconnections
• Awareness of internal audit frameworks and requirements
• Risk frameworks

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant degree/diploma
• Experience: 5+ years’ project management experience, preferably in a IT technology/financial services environment
